USING OUR KEY STAGE 2 LIBRARY
Our Key Stage 2 library is in the main school building and features a variety of fiction and non fiction texts.
All children in Key Stage 2 have a library card, meaning they can borrow up to 2 books at a time through our library system.
Our library system encourages children to think about the books they like to read. They are empowered to make their own choices and to take responsibility for the books that they borrow. It helps for children and adults to keep track of what they have read and what they enjoy and it also enables us to ensure we have the most engaging and enjoyable books on offer that truly inspire a love of reading.
Our library is run by our amazing Year 5 and 6 children who encourage their younger peers to read and use the library successfully. They scan out the books being borrowed, ensure that any overdue books are returned and ensure that returned books are carefully places back on the shelves for others to enjoy.
