QUOTES FROM THE OFSTED REPORT
There is a strong sense of belonging in a friendly club community. As one parent commented, ‘it’s a home from home, they don’t want to leave’
There is a sound partnership with parents and carers which promotes effective communication regarding children's well-being. The setting has a good reputation locally. A parent of a 5 year old commented, "having friends of different ages makes my child more confident and independent."
Senior staff have knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and are part of a training network for ongoing development.
Children contribute to the planning of topics and ideas are often linked to work done in the reception class, for example art and craft activities.
Children are involved in strategic decision making, being given their own 'voice' as to who they would like to choose for their new play worker, for instance.
Outdoor activities are enjoyed in the large playground, with a range of equipment for all ages. Team games are especially popular, encouraging team spirit and good exercise.
